Residents of partner cities:
get to know your city from a different perspective. Understand why a barrier-free environment is important to EVERYONE. We organise Hidden City tours for schools, workplace communities, as MICE tourism side events to professional conferences/meetings/festivals.

Tourists from partner cities:
an important objective is to promote accessible tourism. Everyone is travelling and more and more people need a barrier-free environment.
No other topic has such a broad target group: people with disabilities, elderly people, families with young children, people with temporary disabilities and EVERYONE who is more comfortable with accessibility.

Multipliers:
people who spread the word, spread the idea, who also care about social inclusion. Media professionals, staff and managers of decision-making organisations, companies, educational institutions, NGOs…

Accessible tourism is important for everyone, as all social groups travel. Today, more and more people are concerned about the need for accessibility. Whether we are looking at a city walk or tour, exploring other cities, or a longer holiday in your own country or abroad. Moreover, it also includes festivals and tourist events, even a sporting event. Accessibility should be an essential consideration everywhere.
It is essential that the whole service chain must be accessible, from marketing (leaflets, website, information boards, advertising), to the physical location, transport, accessibility, staff training, and evaluation.

In short, in our case it is a side programme organised for participants of professional conferences, meetings, festivals. It offers a leisure activity, yet it is linked to the professional event in terms of its theme. It makes the event even more memorable and deepen the experience of the conference/meeting topic. Hidden City tours are an excellent MICE programme for any topics related to accessibility, social inclusion, vulnerable groups, tourism, partnership.

Our current project is supported by the International Visegrad Fund from 20.09.2023 – 10.02.2025. During the duration of the project, the Platform aims at the cooperation of its participants. Afterwards, if further funding is found, we plan to open the project and the Platform to other organisations with similar objectives.

The People First Association Hungary launched a campaign entitled ‘WHY?’. People are happy to support us, as long as they know how they can help and understand why certain things need to be in a particular way. Please follow our campaign blog on the People First web site.
